julia porter, best known as miss jools, is the native londoner who cut her teeth and carved her niche in the uk capital, before making mobilee her musical home. her previous collaborative production outfit with audiofly sleeper thief brought her to wider attention in 2006 and then in 2008 she struck out on her own, undertaking solo work and discovering a penchant for slinky, late-night dancefloor sounds with releases such as >la luna< and >que me levante<, proving herself a diverse talent both in the dj booth and in the studio. after a short break, her new release on mobilee >walk away< brings her special musical flavour back to the floor. title track >walk away< it as much minimal and trippy, as it is dreamy and melodic. the same can be said for >whats going on< but this time a powerful vocal is layered over the freaky back drop. meanwhile on the b side >feel you< will keep you spinning. youll definitely find yourself dancing to one of these tracks in the early hours of the morning soon, if you are not playing them yourself…..enjoy!

horse meat disco member luke howard debuts the miss cheesecake nom de plume for a shiny vinyl release on the venerable london institution otherwise known as faze action records. electronic bass and piano action abounds on >get off the floor< which features some delightfully lo-fi robotic vocals and a relentlessly driving groove, while >you must create<, which features lukes own vocals, is dripping in neon-tinged 80s dancefloor sweat. sharing the flipside is a typically lush proto house remix of >you must create< from label chiefs faze action which really could be the theme tune to a 1983 moustache-riddled cop action flick set in san francisco, alongside an instrumental version of the original cut<

the italian disco producer has previously appearing playing bass alongside the heels of love (tirk) but turns out a spectacular solo summer burner with sparkling vocals from miss bee. ray mang (dfa, noid) turns up the heat a notch delivering a slow pop groover that shuffles and slips through a well crafted boogie beat underpinned with a grinding baseline. already receiving early support from bill brewster and many of the usual disco mafia. lithuanian super produce mario basanov (future classics, under the shade) further enhances the summer vibe with a glistening and warm house rework. perfect for poolside antics. the original retains the growling bass line which seems to constantly build and build. miss bee (former outings alongside toby tobias) laces delicate vocal which juxtapose the track perfectly. last but my no means least is a dance floor bomb, courtesy of bonar bradberry (needwant, under the shade) who remixes the original panzerotti track into an epic that will shift even the most stubborn of head nodders
